Meet the Panelists:
Lisa Curran, Government and Community Relations Manager, Duke Energy
Lisa Curran is a respected business and community leader with extensive experience in government affairs, community relations and the utility industry. She currently serves as Government and Community Relations Manager for Duke Energy, supporting engagement and relationship-building throughout Central Florida. An active member of the community, Lisa serves on the West Orange Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is involved with several regional business and civic organizations. She holds an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and was recognized as an Orlando Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree.
Danielle Perera, Vice President & Co-Founder, Jeff's Bagel Run
Danielle Perera is Vice President and Co-Founder of Jeff’s Bagel Run, the Central Florida-born brand she launched alongside her husband, Jeff. What began as a home-based business in 2020 grew into its first storefront in Ocoee in 2021 and has since expanded into a growing multi-state brand. Prior to Jeff’s Bagel Run, Danielle spent 15 years in retail leadership, experience she now brings to the company’s operations, strategy and continued growth. She is passionate about building strong teams, creating memorable customer experiences and supporting the continued success of a business with deep roots in the West Orange community.
Betsy VanderLey, Owner, The Continuum Collaborative
Betsy VanderLey is a longtime West Orange County business and community leader with extensive experience in business development, construction, engineering and public service. She is the owner of The Continuum Collaborative and currently serves as Vice President of Business Development for LJA Engineering. VanderLey was elected to the Orange County Board of County Commissioners in 2016, representing District 1 during a period of significant growth and development in West Orange County. She served as the 2025 Chair of the West Orange Chamber of Commerce and continues to be actively involved in business and civic organizations throughout Central Florida
