About Us

After over a decade of dealing with the rat race into Manhattan every day, Howard Markowitz packed his and his family's bags and moved from New York to Florida in 1991. With lessons learned from working at a typical stuffy firm, Howard vowed to do things differently in private practice and built Howard L Markowitz PA CPA with a personalized touch in mind. Every client is our most important client at all times, and customer service is always the first rule of our business.

Our first office in Leesburg opened its doors in 1993, and we have dozens of coveted clients who have been with us since Day 1. We expanded into Casselberry in 2005, giving us a footprint across all of Central Florida.

After graduating college in 2007, Adam fulfilled his father's lifelong dreams and joined the team of Howard L Markowitz PA CPA. We have since grown our practice to serve clients across the country. In 2014, Adam became a full-fledged partner, and in 2023, he completed the buy-out of the firm, transitioning the business to its new name, Luminary Tax Advisors. We now serve over 600 clients from coast-to-coast. No matter whether you're right around the corner or clear across the country, we still believe in treating all of our clients with the utmost respect and look forward to adding you to our accounting family.
